About xAlternative

Every board here is one product people are actively looking to leave. On it sit the alternatives that decided catching those people is worth paying for, ordered by how much they paid.

Two prices, and they are not the same money. The first is what a tool paid xAlternative for its position. The second is the offer it is making you — free migration, credits, months on the house. We show both, side by side, on every listing. A ranking you can see the price of is a ranking you can argue with; an algorithmic one you cannot.

Entry gets more expensive. The first tool on a board pays the least. Every one after it pays more. Nobody is grandfathered into a discount by hesitating.

We do not fulfil the offer. The tool does, directly with you. What we do is publish what was promised, and count how many people took it — in public, next to the promise. An offer that is not honoured is visible to the next person reading the board, and to every competitor on it.

Boards are ours to open, not user-generated. A board only works where there is real demand for a replacement, so we pick against that and add more as it shows up.
